About Us...

Travis Linde

Though Travis has been building sculptures since 1990, his production level did not kick off until 2005, after the flooding of Hurricane Katrina. Left with a flooded motorcycle shop and crates of rusty tools, he used the flooded scrap metal to create large pieces of art and mounted it outside the shop. People began bringing him their flooded debris, in hopes to see it given new life. It began with making pelicans, Louisiana's state bird. From there it evolved to anything he could imagine up from the rusty refuse.

Alexis Wolf

Alexis Wolf grew up in Kenosha, WI, and began studying portrait and still life photography in high school. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a bachelors in photography. When she moved to New Orleans in 2005,  she opened up Rusty Pelican Art Gallery and Studios with Travis Linde. She currently offers portrait photography, art reproduction, and large format printing.
